So Yoga refers to the planetary combinations present in Kundali / birth chart and their special results which have effect on individual's life. These results can good or bad. Bad resulting yogas are also termed as Doshas.
There are a lot of yoga's and dosha in Indian astrology. These words are used interchangeably like we often use words "Kaal Sarp Yoga" and "Kaal Sarp Dosha". Doshas are also astrological yogas, but when a yoga gives bad result it is called as Dosha.

There is a need to sit back and look prominent yoga and dosha in the chart before giving predictions.
Overall, every ascendant remains for 2 hours and in that two hours lakhs of children are born but their destiny differs irrespective of yoga and dosha. That is why there will be ample need to check charts properly else predictions might go wrong.
It might happen that 2 persons might have Gaj Kesari Yoga in the chart but one might be happy whereas other might be living an ordinary life. It can happen because in one case Gaja Kesari Yoga is stronger but in another case, yoga is weaker. Thus close analysis on divisional charts must be done before giving predictions in relation to yoga and dosha.
