Ammathiruvadi Temple houses the deity of Durga who is an incarnation of Parvathi Devi. She is very powerful and kills all evils in the world and does well for its devotees. It is believed that peoples coming here with pure devotion will get their wishes come true very soon after visiting this temple. Here she is called as Ammathiruvadi, which is the other name in Malayalam language to call for Durga, Devi or Maa. The Ammathiruvadi Ammai is the wording used to praise here in prayers by her devotees.

Arattupuzha Sree Sastha Temple is a worship place for the Iyappa Swamy who is also called as the Sastha by the Hindus. Many of his devotees call him as Dharma Sastha. The Shabari Mala pilgrim season is the most important season for this temple. It conducts ritual and ceremonies for the pilgrimage to take penance and do ceremonies while going to the holy abode of this Sastha at Shabri Mala on the 41st day after penance. He is a celibate and these seasons are manly seen with the men hood. Woman does worship here, but they can't take the Shabari mala pilgrimage.
