Enclosed in a large courtyard, the Nava Brahma Temple are perfectly present on the left bank of the River Tungabhadra. The temple of Taraka Brahma has inscription that belongs to the 6th-7th century CE. The temple of Swarga Brahma is believed to be built during 681-696 AD by Lokaditya Ela Arasa in the wholehearted honour of the queen of Vinayaditya. It is the finest example of Badami Chalukya sculpture and Architecture. This information is cited in an inscription that is found just above the Dwarapalaka image. This shrine is the most elaborately ornamented major temple. This particular temple with an imposing tower or Rekhanagara vimana is the best or finest when compared to other shrines at Alampur. The other shrines are Garuda Brahma, Kumara Brahma, Arka Brahma and Vira Brahma. The other temples situated in this complex are Suryanarayana temple which dates back to 9th century and Narasimha temple which has inscriptions belonging to Sri Krishna Devaraya (Vijayanagar Empire).
The Alampur Nava Brahma Temple are perfectly emblematic of the Western and Northern Indian styles and patterns of architecture.
