It can be mentioned that the idol was preserved in a nearby village named Asotiya in 1726 BS. After the temple at the bank of Rajsamand had completed its construction, the idol was preserved in that particular temple. Owing to the fact that all this happened during the times of Goswami Shri Girdharji, the building was named after him as Girdhar Garh. After that particular time Shri Dwarkadheeshji was installed there.
