Durgiana Temple is located in the heart of the city of Amritsar, in the state of Punjab, in Northwestern India. It is situated very close to Lohgarh Gate. This particular shrine derives its unique name from the Goddess Durga. The main deity of this temple is Goddess Durga. It is regarded as the premier Hindu temple of Punjab. It is popularly known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple among the adherent devotees. In 1908, this shrine was established by Harsai Mal Kapoor on the architectural pattern and style of the Sikh Golden Temple. The temple has beautifully carved silver doors so it is also called as Silver Temple. This temple premises has few historical temples like Bara Hanuman temple and Sita Mata temple.
