This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is known to be the preserver of this world as per the Hindus beliefs. It is a male god with 10 incarnations in the mythic stories. Gavipuram Caves are known from the 9th century AD. This was a place for meditation by many Sages's, including the famous scholar Maharshi Gowthama. In the 16th century, few additions were made by the Kempegowda, who is known to be the builder of Bagalaru as a City. From then this temple became a great pilgrim center and pulled many devotees to see its architectural marvel with sun lights entering this caves on special occasion on Sankranthi day.
Sri Big Bull Temple is a great worship place for the Hindus. It has a Ganesha temple on its adjacent side. Nandhi is believed to be an animal of prosperity. Touching this statue and get blessing from it is the main pooja ceremony done here. Pilgrims bring mainly the animal fodder as the offering material. This statue is mostly touched by the small children's to get a prosperous life. In the end of December month the Kadalekaayi Parishe festival is grandly celebrated here.
Ghati Subramanya Temple is the only place to see the Lord Subramaniya and Lord Narashima in one garbhagraha. The deities are facing east and west directions. Lord Narashima is facing west, either back side of Subramaniya Swamy and can be seen at the same time in a mirror focusing this idol for its devotees standing in the main grabhagraha areas. This temple is known for the powers of blessing the unmarried persons to get married soon and couples with infertility problems are blessed with children's.
The main deity of this temple is Goddess Droupathi Devi. It does have other deities of Vishnu and Kali Devis. Daily poojas is done here. It is the most visited temple of Banglorites on all major Hindu festival occasions. The Karaga is the main festival held in the full moon day of March month every year. Sri Radha Krishna Temple is an important place for the Sri Krishna devotees. It is also the common God for the followers of Hinduism. Sri Shani Mahatma Temple is most feared and sacred temple of the Hindu religion. All shani dosha currently affected peoples come here and offer prayers and perform rituals as per his birth chart. The common pooja material is the Ellu seeds and the gingili oil. Some time peoples have to go around this temple premises for a 100 rounds, few have to stay here for 2-3 days and perform sacred rituals in the day and night times and few can join the mass rituals conducted daily for lesser affected peoples of shani dosha.
This is the only temple in south India to have a two different Maha Vishnu idols found in different moods. These idols are also seen with different procession on their hands.
