Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple is located in Ananthagiri hills, in Vikarabad, in Rangareddy district, in the state of Telangana, in South India. It is nearly 75 kilometers from Hyderabad. It was successfully built by Nizam nawabs approximately 400 years ago. In this temple the primary deity, Lord Vishnu is in the grand form of Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple was built nearly 400 years in Ananthagiri hills about 6 km from the mandal of Vikarabad, in Ranga Reddy District. This place was a dense forest dotted with many wild animals during those periods. People used to take risk to climb this hill and visit this temple in order to get the blessing of the God. According to the local legends and historian, this dense forest area is one of the earliest habitat regions.
