Taramati Baradari is a significant architectural structure. It was built on the Persian pattern of architectural designs. It is a big rectangular structure which accommodates humans, cattle's and trading goods. There are 12 large doors were built on this pavilion, which enable a travelers camel to enter inside the sarai. There are large rooms, which can accommodate 500 peoples. The entire structure is built on good ventilations and natural air circulates here. It is placed on a small citadel with surrounded walls; which gives it protection from outsiders. On its entrance from the Ibrahim garden one has to climbs a large steps. These steps are well placed and designed in such a way that you feel you are climbing to a holy place The 12 doors are the important feature of this sarai, which are purely built of large granite stones brought from the Deccan quarries in the north of Golconda.
Taramati Baradari is well known in the Hyderabad Deccan history. Many traders from south with sandal woods and textiles stayed here to take rest for themselves and their cart cattle's along with goods. Inside there are cattle fodders, great baths and large resting rooms. This baradari was the important place in Golconda for exchange of goods and trades at this caravan station. In history, this sarai is well known for the silk route traders. It got its name from the two nomad sisters named 'Taramati and Premamati' who sheltered here and did dance and songs. Their songs were impressed by the Nawab and they were given the court patronage. Thus the caravan station is named on her memory. These two sisters were buried in the royal mausoleum after their death. This place became a cultural centre in the later years of Qutub Shahi's reign.
Taramati Baradari is tourist place to be visited if you come to Hyderabad to see the caravan station for the silk route traders. To see the Persian art forms in the giant monument. It is located near the Ibrahim bhag, were there are many Nizamis historical edifice's built here. It is the place to see the Hyderabad Deccan's royal vintages. These monuments look heavenly when illuminated with colored lights in the night time. Hyderabad is the international tourist spot. Here there are many tourist operators cater the need for domestic and international tourists. There are very goods hotels including the royal luxury rooms. There are also private resorts and serviced apartments. The transport services are 24 hours operational on trains, busses and flights here. Languages spoken here are "Urdu, Hindi, Telegu and English". Presently it's operating as a cultural centre by the archeological department and it is open to public from '10:30 to 17:30' there is no entry fee charged here so far.
