Prachina Museum is in the Junagarh fort, which is a brilliant work of architectural importance. Even though it was built in the 16th Century AD it doesn't lose its design and structure. Prachina Museum started in the year 2000 was set to preserve the royal heritage monuments and its articles used in those days. The name 'Prachina' itself implies 'Olden'. Many articles of Maharajas and their personal belongs are displayed. All costumes used by the royal clans are on to display. Arms used in wars and war related paintings are superb. Paintings of rulers are displayed in chronological order. Many kinds of utilities and ceramic works are there in display. Articles made from brass, silver and gold. Collections of gems and jewelry's form a separate section. Old written manuscripts of rulers are framed and kept. All together a large forts selected items of value and antiques are kept in the museum.
