As per the reports of the archaeological department and the remnants present in the place, it can be ascertained that the park and its surrounding area has more 1700 years of history associated with it. The place has been built and established in the year 400 A. D. It was specifically built during the chalcolithic period. Historical reports also show that the hills that can be found around the park have been derived from the toe Kalika, the Hindu goddess.
Sikandar Shah's Tomb is a huge stone structure built in sand stones. It is a similar tomb structure of those found in the medieval Era in India. It is built on the Islamic pattern of architecture. This is moreover found in a hexagonal and circular shape. This tomb has few unique symmetry parts. It has got a huge arched gateway. One can find the similar gateway on the back side too. The main building has a pillared corridor all around this tomb. There are few chambers found here.
