Netaji Birth Palace, Museum is an immortal place for the great freedom struggle fighters of India. This social and cultural museum is this birth place of the Netha ji Subash Chandra Bose, who is known to form the Indian Military to fight in the World War II, with assistance from Japan and Germany. This place was converted in to museum, to honor this hero who tired with defense to get out of British from India. This museum displays all those attributes from 1857 AD's Sipoy Mutiny to the 1947 Independent India. It is located in Oriya Bazaar Road, Cuttack District of Odhisa State in India.

Netaji Birth Palace Architecture

Netaji Birth Palace was in Janakinath Bhawan in the Orissa State. This large Bhawan was his ancestral place. This is a two storied structure in L shape facing west to east wards with ample space and gardens. A beautiful family temple is built on the east front of his Bhavan for worship purpose. Towards the east there, are cattle house built separately, which consisted the cows and horses. It has an open courtyard in the northern side of this Bhavan. There are very spacious rooms and halls inside this Bhavan. There are vast pillared corridors and verandahs. This is built in the Indian traditional architect pattern, found in the east India regions. This place was found in many alterations over a period of time, without affecting its main structure of this Bhavan. On the inside of this Bhavan, one can find the house hold articles used by the Bose family as it were. This consists of the old Radio, wooden furniture's date back to 18the centuries. Nethaji personal articles like the arms he used in the Indian National Army (INA) and many of his child hood photo and family photos are there.

Netaji Birth Palace is in Orissa, but many believed to be a son of West Bengal, since he carried the name Bose, which is a Bengali origin family name. But he was a Bengali Hindu in India. It is the house where he was born and brought up. When he joined the Indian freedom movement and founded the INA for freedom struggle, his home land was lesser important for him and was commanding from Burma, Japan, Russia and Andaman Islands, Museum. This Janakinath Bhavan was converted in to Netaji Birthplace Museum by the Orissa government. The Nathaji's materials were places as such. The galleries formed inside are mostly with photo depiction of freedom fighters. There are INA's uniforms and armories in display. Many letters written by him from Up Countries, when he was captures and put in various Jails'. There is a special library area that is best for history buffs. There are important self written diaries on display. A special photo gallery is there, which is kept in chronological order of India's freedom moment. This also highlights a unique coverage of the INA's contribution in the World War II. This is the place where the foundations of the modern defense of India were laid. He was greatly known to appoint Indian men and women in to his force, which was more than the British colonial troops. The Netaji's death is still a mystery, since it was informed that his plane was crashed in a dense mountain forest area. And few believed that, he led a peace full life after the India's independence in living in exile.
