Lallgarh palace is a most groovy kind to see. It is located in near Mehron Ka Bas, towards Ganganagar Road, Bikaner, Rajasthan State in India. This was built by 'Maharaja Ganga Singh' in 1926 AD. Lalgarh Palace Architecture

Lallgarh palace is a modern piece of architect. This palace was under construction on phase by phase over two decades. Most of the building stone were quarried and brought from the 'Great Thar Desert', from its western region. Few granite stones were brought from the 'Aravalli Mountains'. On the outer, it's full of red sandstone and on the inside full of marbles. This palace has the largest work of European designs. Either one can find the Moughal art, Rajputana structure and European pattern all around the palace. Many architects claimed it to be built in the 'Indo-Saracenic pattern'. On the interior it is amazing to see its arts and crafts built on woods, ceramics, marbles and glasses. There are large rooms, pavilions, halls and domes. It has a large swimming pool inside the palace. The inner and outer of the palace has a pin-up garden.

Lalgarh Palace History

Lallgarh palace is of European importance. Since, most of the British-India time, many of the lords and European gusts stayed here on their Indian visits. The principal architect is 'Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob' Of Britain who designed this huge monument. The 'Maharaja Ganga Singh' built this fort in memory of his generate 'Maharaj Lal Sing' and named it as a Lallgarh palace in 1926. Maharaja Ganga Singh was of modern thoughts and he decided to quit his 'Junagarh palace' and built in the memory of his father a new palace which was a 12 miles away from the Junagarh palace. He started the work in 1902 with few budgets in his hands and later, it took him more than the expected cost and do completed this palace work in 1926. In the British India period, many of the East India Company's official stayed here. The Viceroy of India 'Lord Curzon' resided in this palace, during his tenure, since he stayed here for a longer period of time.

Lalgarh Palace Tourism Importance

Lallgarh palace is of great European importance. Since in the British-India period, many of its counterparts stayed here whenever they come to India. It also depicts the British India period of arts and science on the wall paintings. Since 1972 a portion of the palace was owned by the princely family of Maharaja Ganga Singh and the other two portions were made luxury hotel rooms.
