The two storied building mainly highlight the fusion of the local and modern day infrastructure. It displays photographs and portraits of three times chief minister Shree Kamaraj which are quite rare and depicts the enclosed personal life of the leader. The lower floor of the building is the space for the bedroom of which was used by high profile personalities during the period of 1980s. The room inside the interior of the monument has furniture and others objects with plain and simple design. This also depicts a picture of the simple style of Shri Kamaraj. Another striking architectural feature of the monument is the fully stocked library within the structure. The library is filled with books of different language and subject matter. Some of the books that can be found in the library included '100 Modern Lives', 'Doctor Zhivago' as well as 'Lok Sabha Debates' among others that clearly portrays the professional background of the leader. Historical records and remnants within the building suggest that Shri Kamaraj though left his education in the early, has not been completely detached with reading and the process of gathering continuous knowledge. The interiors walls of the building also has a large hall served as a dining area for Kamaraj during his residence within the monument. The photographs put in this particular area showcases a practical journey of the life of Shri Kamaraj. The upper or the second row of the monument presents the belongings of Shri Kamaraj including Shawls and books.
The monument demonstrates the extreme ease and simplicity the former chief minister prefer stay with despite of being in the topmost administrative position of the state. The Memorial House which was established in the year 1978 during the administrative reign of the than leader of the state of Tamil Nadu i.e. M. G. Ramchandaran. Since then the house is open for public display. The portraits that are kept within the living and other section of the building shows the stills of swearing ceremony of Shri, Kamaraj as the chief minister of the state in 1954. The ceremonies for the second and the third swearing as the leader by Shri, Kamaraj of the state is also depicted in the pictures. In some of the pictures within the monument, Shri, Kamaraj is seen in discussion with personalities like Rajendra Prasad, Queen Elizabeth and Lal Bahadur Shastri among others.
The palace i.e. Kamaraj Memorial House depicts a strong essence of the Shri Kamaraj who was quite adored and popular amid the local people of the state. Owing to this particular aspect the monument attracts a large number of local visitors on a regular visitors. Furthermore, since the monument is located in the heart of the city it is conveniently reachable with the use of any type of transport. This is also a potential boost for the tourism sector with regard to the building. Again since the entire monument depicts the essence of honesty and prosperity altogether a never before experience can be attained by the tourist. The place is open from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. every day for visitors.
