Anand Mahal is an overwhelming monument of Bijapur. It is bordered by flourishing gardens and have plentiful small waterfalls. The walls of Anand Mahal are designed quite well with huge rooms along with two large mansions, namely the central hall and frontal hall. The interiors of the fort are festooned with charming foliations which are regarded as key attraction for travellers.
There are three arches of Gagan Palace where the principal arch is regarded as the tallest and broadest architecture in the whole Bijapur city. It is about 66 feet long and 56 feet height. The platform of the hall is about 80 feet wide where thousands of viewers can accumulate together. The architecture of the palace is splendid and impressive. The three archways of Gagan Mahal is fringed by other archways which lead to narrow stairway of upper floors.
Gol Gumbaz is a fine specimen of Islamic architecture and appositely acknowledged for its astonishing dimensions and exclusive acoustic features. The ground area of the monument is about 1700 square meter with an altitude of about 51 meter and length of about 37 meter. It also have 3 meter dense wall. It was sated that the construction of Gol Gumbaz has taken approximately 20 years to complete.
Bijapur Fort and other prominent structures on the Bijapur Fort largely reflect the architectural style of Ottoman Turkish, Persian and the Allied arts. This Fort is studded with beautiful palace, tombs, mosques and gardens. In the Bijapur Fort, Mehtar Mahal is one of the most elegant and attractive structure. This particular building structure has shades of Indo-Saracenic and Hindu traditional architectural style with a lot of perfection. The facade has arches which are three in numbers that displays exquisite cornice largely supported on carved corbels to a great extent. Mehtar mosque is near Mehtar Mahal which is a three-storey building structure. It has perfectly two slender minarets which are rightly covered with carved delicately rows of swans and birds.
