The palace is with the beautiful carvings and the engraving inscription which can be seen in the walls and the upper limit of the palace. The Bastar palace is more like a magnificent fort, which shines in the sun light.
According to the historians believe, the palace of Bastar was constructed during the rule of the Bastar State, when they shifted their capital from old Bastar to that of Jagdalpur. The Bastar State came into existence in and around 1324 AD, when Annama Deva, the brother of the Kakatiya King, Pratapa Rudra Deva left behind Warangala and brought in his kingdom in Bastar. It was established under the sponsorship of local goddess Danteshwari, and is still a deity of Bastar region.
The chief attraction to Chhatthisgarh is the Bastar palace which has been manufactured in the rectangular intervals. This is the major heritage and is the tourist attracted palace. With the rising sun the Bastar Palace shines and glitters, as more over it is a fort.
Inside the palace the government has constructed palace vicinity, where the tourist can have a look into the artifacts and the portraits of the long-gone kings. The palace is endowed with the beautiful garden and is beautifully maintained.
The visitors can also do a shopping in the heart-bazaar which is placed in the nearby area, which has to be experienced.
