Chanderi Fort is one of the vast Mughal forts. The main entrance gate of this fort is largely known as the "Khooni Darwaza". There is also a curious gateway known as katti-ghatti that is made through a hill side to the southwest side of the fort. The Muslim rulers of Chanderi constructed the fortification walls. There are lot of shades of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles and patterns in this fort.

Kati Ghati is about 240 feet above the town of Chanderi. This magnificent gate is nearly 85 feet wide and 30 feet high. It is to be highly noted that this entry gate is largely used since its construction by guests and visitors from Bundelkhand and Malwa for entering into Chanderi. As per the historians and local legends, this gate was cut with live swords by a mason and hard working team force within a stipulated time frame.

The architecture of Mandu has a lot of resemblance to the architecture styles and patterns of the Koshak Mahal located in Chanderi. Into four equal parts, this grand palace is equally divided with a lot of perfection. It largely reflects tradition architectural skills and talents of that period of time in that region. This attractive palace bears a very good imposing look for local and foreign visitors. It is to be remembered that parts of it are currently ruined status.
