Gurdwara Mehdiana Sahib is under private ownership status. At preset, it is in dilapidated statues due to a lack of funds mainly resulting from its isolated location in this region. This Gurudwara is surrounded by natural water reservoir or the Dhaab, birds and trees plus greenery. It is popular with pilgrims. This religious spot has many monuments that largely depict important events in Sikh history with a lot of perfection. This is the village where the tenth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Gobinf Singh stayed and gathered large scale support from the region across the Malwa. This is the place where the Guru and Bhai Daya Singh had heated discussion regarding the future course of action of Sikhs in their difficult period of life that was filled with hardship. This is the village from where the Zafarnamah was written and sent to the Mughals.
Gurdwara Mehdiana Sahib has uniquely colored architecture style and pattern. It was an isolated Gurudwara till 1960's under thick vegetation of dense tree and bushes. Later, Jathedar Jora Singh Lakha wholeheartedly took the duty and responsibility of developing and managing this Gurudwara. He made it as one of the popular Sikh center for pilgrimage visit among the Sikh. It was rebuilt on a land that measured nearly 25 acres. In and around the Gurudwara, there are many sculptures that depicts scarifies and torture underwent by the Sikhs in the name of their religion. The noted sculptures among them are the collection of 5 rupee rewards for delivering Sikh heads to elders of the village after the invasion of Nader Shah at Mehdiana Sahib, Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh being executed by dismemberment at Mehdiana Sahib, the execution of Bhai Dayala by being boiled alive at Mehdiana Sahib, the execution of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh by being bricked alive (Saka sirhind) by the Sultan of Sirhind at Fatehgarh Sahib, Mian Mir and his followers at Mehdiana Sahib, a mass Sikh execution after the invasion of Nader Shah at Mehdiana Sahib, the execution of Banda Singh Bahadur at Mehdiana Sahib, a Sikh execution on a death wheel (charkhari) at Mehdiana Sahib and the execution of Bhai Mati Das by being sawn in half at Mehdiana Sahib. This is the Gurdwara where one can witness the best specimen of Sikh architecture and exquisite meenakari work. The main building has eight floors.
