The village named Thatta has turned into a holy village because of its association with Sikh Gurus and their related incidents that occurred in this particular spot. Most of the Sikh devotees take time from their personal and professional life to visit this holy village along with their family members, relatives and friends. Most of the NRI Sikhs who are working abroad when return home do visit this holy spot for thanks giving with great interest. According to the local legends, it is strongly believed that if prayed with dedication and commitment then all the wishes are fulfilled immediately in personal and professional life in a satisfactory manner.
The current beautiful building structure was constructed in a successful manner by Baba Kharak Singh who was follower of Sant Gurmukh Singh Sevavale. During 1951, a rectangular hall was added to this building structure. Later in 1975, a spacious divan hall was also added to it. The holy book Guru Granth Sahib is perfectly placed at an end of the rectangular hall on a canopied seat that is just a meter high square platform which is made of white marble. On the northern side of this particular hall is located the 70 metre square Amrit Sarovar. During the process of wholeheartedly digging the sarovar with hard work that is perfectly blended with dedication and commitment by Baba ji and his volunteers, Babaji directly coordinated the tasks of the volunteers by sitting under the shade of a Jujubee tree that is situated on the border of the Sarovar which still stands alive at this particular spot. In a separate compound near the Gurdwara, a two storied residential block is their which is used by the staffs of this shrine. It is to be remembered that Guru Ka Langar along with a large dining hall is specially constructed for devotees and pilgrims who come from far and near within the state and nation plus from abroad.
At Gurdwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib, Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, Guru Nanak Gurpurab, Bandi Chhor Divas (Diwali), Phalia Prakash Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Martyrdom of Guru Arjan, Vaisakhi, Holla Mohalla, Parkash Utsav Dasveh Patshah and Maghi festivals are celebrated in a religious manner. Most of the local devotees and adherent devotees visit this Gurdwara on these occasions for special prayer meetings and its related religious functions and activities. It is to be highly noted that festivals are filled with joy and happiness for the Sikh communities who grandly celebrate the given occasions and events with a lot of perfection along with their close friends, relatives and family members. They prepare special sweets at home and distributed it among their kin and kiths with lot of affection on the occasion of festival days and auspicious days. Most of the Sikh people visit this particular Gurudwara with lot of personal interest to seeking the blessing.
