Kaila Devi temple is situated in Rajasthan in Karauli, which is 23 km away. This temple is a scared temple situated near the bank of river Kalisil. River Kalisil is the tributary of river Banas in the hills of the Trikut. This temple is a tribute to Goddess Kalia Devi. It is a big temple with a large courtyard, where in one place all red flag are planted by the devotees. Every year in the month of Chaitra(March-April) devotees come to this place bare foot to pray Goddess for their health and wealth. The most exciting and best part of this temple is Aarti which is done by the pundit every day at 9.00pm IST.

During the month of Chaitra(March-April) a grand fair is organised by the people of Rajasthan. Rajasthan is known for its colourful and vivid nature of festivals which is celebrated throughout the year. This Kalia Devi fair which is also one of the main fairs in Rajathan, this festival last for at least fort-night. Apart for the temple another attraction is Bhairon, situated in the courtyard of the temple and which faces the shrine of the Kalia devi Hanuman locally called 'Languriya'. Kalia Devi is considered to be the Goddess of wealth 'Mahalaxmi' and Chamunda (The Goddess of Death). The sacrifices are given to show the devotion to the Goddess in the form of animals, outside the temple. Around 2 Lakhs of devotees come very year in the fair from different states and places.

The main and prominent rituals that are performed that is the devotees offer cash, coconuts, kajal(kohl), tikki(vermilion), sweet and bangals which they are supposed to bring along with them. The popular ritual of kanak-Dandoti, in which the devotees cover around 15 to 20 km by making marks by the hand and moving their head along the line until one reach to the temple. This ritual is quite thrilling. During this ritual some take some rest and take a bit of rest and continue this journey, while some don't even care for hunger they just get flow by the devotion and love of Goddess Kalia. A great devotee named Goli Bhagat came from Agra to show the love and devotion to the holy shrine of Kalia. Similarly people come from far off states to celebrate this festival of joy and happiness like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi and Haryana.

On this occasion the fair is the main attraction due to its decorated stalls, where the handicraft items are sold in that place. The unique and tradition Rajasthan items are sold out there. Tribal people of Mina group show their spectacular dance and songs. With the grace and love of Goddess Kalia the atmosphere of the place is lulled by happiness and joy.
