The Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham is conducting Yoga courses like Yoga Sadhana Camps, Yoga Teachers Training Courses of Level I and II, Intensive Hatha Yoga and Hormone Yoga as a retreat and therapy courses. The Yoga tutors are professional who shapes you to become a teacher with their proper guidance and observation. They will assist you in the entire course of time and are very kind and teach in English language.
1. Yoga Teacher Training Courses level I (YTTC-I)
Prerequisite: For YTTC Level I and II, any person who wish to learn this art can join here, it doesn't mean to become a Yoga teacher alone must undergo YTTC but it is also for one's interest in Yoga to learn it for do it yourself. This certification may be useful in future who is not taking this course as professional. Since, it is valid all over the world.
Course Duration: This is 4 Weeks or One Month where a 200 Hours minimum time has to be undergone by every students to get certified on successful YTTCI-I completion.
Certification: 200 Hours Yoga Alliance
Course of Study: This includes major five Yoga's are thought like Yogasanas which deals with Yoga exercise. The Pranayama is dealt with proper breathing while performing an Asana. The Shavasana is coming back to relax position after performing an Asana. The proper diet to be consumed in the course of Yoga is given importance. It also teaches the meditation and positive thinking is thought in this level I course.
Timing: The first class begins from early morning 05:00 AM and ends by 09:30 PM. In between the Tea time is 07:00 AM, the brunch time is 09:30 AM and the dinner at 05:30 PM
2. Yoga Teacher Training Courses – level II (YTTC-II)
Course Duration: Four weeks or One Month where a 500 Hours minimum time has to be undergone by every student to get certified on successful YTTCI-II completion.
Certification: 500 Hours Yoga Alliance
Course of Study: Satsang, Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Vedanta, Raja Yoga, Sanskrit, Meditation, Physiology, Anatomy, Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga are thought in this Level II course.
Timing: The first class begins from early morning 04:30 AM and ends by 09:30 PM. In between the Tea time is 07:00 AM, the brunch time is 09:30 AM and the dinner at 05:30 PM
Facilities: for Level I and Level II YTTC
Accommodation: It has got world class rooms to accommodate its students which are single and double rooms its ample water and attached western toilets.
Food: The Yogi's diet is served here which is a vegetarian food. These are prepared according to Kerala style and are nutritious food. It also has a canteen where fresh juice and fruit salads are available.
Communication: This Yoga center is connected with Wi-Fi facilities and telephone.
Class Rooms: It has got a modern class room for theory classes. The practical classes are undergone in halls, rooms and open areas within the premises. The halls and rooms have wide windows for better air circulations.
Apart from certified courses, the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham is conducting short term programs. To get entertained to this camps and programs one has to enroll in prior time when such programs are announced.
These are for the beginners and Yoga aspirants to learn the basics of Yoga in a week time. This is also a very good camp for kids and children's. This is a weeklong camp and one has to stay in their Ashramam with their Gurus.
This is eligible for the YTTC I and II level students. It is basically thought with Hatha Yoga and its principles more elaborately. Here one needs more physic to perform these Asanas. The duration of this course is 2 weeks. It will be easier to those peoples who have learnt or practicing the Yoga daily. Since these are intensive and may get some pains while stretching and folding during performing an Asana, that's why it is recommended for persons who are really wish to take these lessons which are little bit tough compared to the normal or the general Asanas for general wellness. These are basically the Kriyas and are concentrated with human organs to function efficiently by activation them with internal and external energy. This energy has to be controlled by mind, breaths and putting pressure on various parts of our body.
